The CGC Signature series designed for the general public to participate in will be unveiled at the Pittsburgh Comicon April 26, 27 & 28th 2002. This will enable everyone to get their comics signed by their favorite artists, writers and inkers, and submit them to CGC for grading. Instead of the blue universal label, they will be given the custom yellow CGC Signature Series label with the date of signing.
This adds a very exciting new dimension to the comics industry. Getting comics signed at a convention has always been very popular. Now people can be assured of the authentication of an artist's or writer's signature on a comic book because the CGC tamper evident holder and the CGC Signature Series label helps eliminate the threat of forgery.
The cost will be $25.00 for modern comics, $30.00 for economy, $50.00 for standard and $80.00 for express. Multiple signatures will be $5.00 extra per signature.
Look for this exciting new opportunity at upcoming shows this summer such as Wizard World Chicago and the Great Canadian Comic Book Expo Toronto.
