CGC Cards™ is excited to announce that the company is partnering with Kayou for its latest TCG release! Starting today, customers who submit the Kayou Transformers Collectible Card – 40th Anniversary series cards to CGC Cards’ Shanghai office will receive a special custom label, while supplies last.
Transformers was developed and released by Hasbro (a US company) and TAKARA (a Japanese company), starting in 1984. Originally a toy line consisting of mecha robots that could transform into various everyday machines, including vehicles, electronics and weapons, it has since become one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time, encompassing toys, comics, films, video games, spin-off franchises and, of course, trading cards.
To celebrate Transformers’ 40th anniversary, Kayou — a popular Chinese card manufacturer and CGC Cards Strategic Partner — has released two exclusive Transformer TCG products: The Transformers 40th Anniversary Celebration Box and the Transformers 40th Anniversary Energon Box. Each of the products offers collectors the chance to pull serial-numbered cards and special parallels, including cartoon redraw cards, toy model cards, comic cards and more.
Submitting the 40th Anniversary Transformers Cards
The Kayou Transformers 40th Anniversary cards can only be submitted to CGC Cards through our Mainland China Authorized Dealers. For a list of Mainland China Authorized Dealers accepting TCGs, sports cards and non-sports cards, click here.
The first 10,000 Transformers 40th Anniversary cards submitted for grading at the CGC Cards Shanghai office will receive the custom CGC Cards label featuring the Transformers and 40th Anniversary logos.
Please note the following information regarding the custom labels:
The Transformers 40th Anniversary commemorative label is exclusively available to customers who submit cards from Kayou’s Transformers 40th Anniversary Celebration Box and 40th Anniversary Energon Box. Any other cards submitted to CGC Cards will not be eligible for this exclusive label.
This custom label is limited to the first 10,000 cards submitted and will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the labels are gone, submissions will be processed with CGC Cards’ standard label.
There are no dealer restrictions on this custom label — all dealers within China are eligible for the label and may opt in at no additional cost.
Submissions made to CGC Cards Authorized Dealers will be transferred to the CGC Cards Shanghai office for authentication, grading and encapsulation — with or without the custom label.
Please note: Some cards produced by Kayou require encapsulation with a protective sleeve because of their smaller size. If a card needs a protective sleeve in order to be safely encapsulated, CGC Cards will do so.
