However, no one in the history of the league has thrown these types of pitches at such a consistent and efficient rate like the Milwaukee Brewers' young ace Jacob Misiorowski.
The Brewers selected Misiorowski 63rd overall in the 2022 MLB Draft, as he'd eventually make his major league debut in June 2025 at just 23 years old. It didn't take the young pitcher long to shine, as his performances on the mound quickly earned him his first All-Star selection. Misiorowski followed that up with his second All-Star appearance in 2026 while also making history this season.
The Milwaukee ace threw the fastest pitch ever recorded by a starting pitcher in MLB history when he hurled a fastball at 105.5 miles per hour. He also owns the record for the most 100+ mph pitches in a single game (57) and in early September, he became the only pitcher in history to throw 1,000 pitches that reached triple digits in one season. For reference, that is a feat that no team's entire pitching staff combined has ever accomplished.
Misiorowski has been a huge factor in Milwaukee's recent resurgence, helping them top the MLB in the regular season with an impressive 103-58 record.
