A one-of-one SuperFractor of the NBA's all-time leading scorer realized more than $700,000, becoming the highest price ever realized for a CGC-certified basketball card sold through a Fanatics Collect auction. The rarity was just one of the thousands of CGC-certified sports cards, TCGs, and non-sports cards that were sold through the Fanatics Collect marketplace in September 2026.
The 2025-26 Topps Chrome #127 LeBron James - SuperFractor certified CGC Authentic realized $720,000 in a Premier Auction on September 25. As of early October, it is the second-highest price ever realized by any CGC-certified sports card on the Fanatics Collect platform. Prior to the 2025-26 season, James' last NBA-licensed Superfractor was produced in 2009-10 before Panini took over the league exclusive card rights for the next 16 years. Topps regained the NBA card rights late last year, meaning the 2025-26 season gave card collectors their first Topps Chrome cards to feature the four-time champion in a Los Angeles uniform, with this one-of-one rarity being the gem of more than 60 parallels in the set.

Another sports highlight from September is a 2025-26 Topps Chrome Update #14 Stephen Curry - Variation SuperFractor certified CGC Authentic that realized $360,000 on September 25. A second six-figure SuperFractor from the Update Series of the 2025-26 Topps Chrome set, this is now the third-highest price realized for a CGC-certified basketball card and the fifth-highest price realized for any CGC-certified sports card on the Fanatics Collect platform. Similar to the LeBron James SuperFractor, Curry fans have just recently been able to chase more officially licensed Topps Chrome cards featuring the iconic Golden State Warrior. The last time was during Curry's rookie season in 2009-10.

Meanwhile, a Latias Gold Star, Pokémon (2005) EX Deoxys Holo graded CGC Pristine 10 became the second-highest selling card certified by CGC on Fanatics Collect when it realized $456,000 on September 25, surpassed only by a Rayquaza Gold Star that sold for more than $1 million in August 2026. This Latias Gold Star is the sole example graded CGC Pristine 10 in the CGC Cards Population Report as of October 2026.
Gold Star Pokémon cards are highly desirable to collectors, both because of their rarity and because they are one of the few subsets of cards that depict Pokémon in their “shiny” alternate-colored forms. Latias, being one of Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald’s Legendary Pokémon, is one of the more coveted Gold Star cards from the EX era. The female Eon Twin is considered a crown jewel of Generation 3 card collections, especially when paired with her brother, Latios Gold Star.

Additionally, a Pikachu, Pokémon (2002) Legendary Collection Reverse Holo graded CGC Gem Mint 10 realized $180,000 on September 20. Legendary Collection was a reprint set featuring cards from the Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, and Team Rocket expansions of the Pokémon TCG. The set was only released in English and introduced reverse holofoil cards. Unlike modern reverse holofoils, though, Legendary Collection’s reverse holofoil cards featured a flashy firework pattern. According to the CGC Cards Population Report, CGC has certified 290 total examples of reverse holo Pikachu from Legendary Collection, as of October 2026. Of those 290 examples, only 13 are graded CGC Gem Mint 10, with none graded higher.
